Serger 101 with Tamra 6/6/26 10-2 pm
Has your serger been waiting patiently for you to figure out what it can do for you?
If so, you'll want to join Serger 101!
We'll begin by taking a tour of the machine—all the knobs, dials, and movable parts will be identified and explained. Your manual will be a great help as we learn that threading isn't as complicated as you feared—air threading is great, but you can do this even without that luxury.
Then we'll sew, doing practice seams and making adjustments to perfect the stitch. You'll get handouts and make samples of all the basic stitches to put in your own serger sample book. A kit for making the samples will be provided ($5). Bring your serger, a BSK (Basic Sewing Kit), $5 for your kit, thread that matches the colors of your machine's thread path, and your enthusiasm.
Leave with a serger you can use with skill and confidence!
Note: Serger 101 is a basic Serger class. Watch for Serger 102 in the near future.
